Yay.. another card with a Sugar Nellie stamp from me.. another lovely sketch by Katharina and another challenge.. this time it’s over at PaperTake Weekly

These are so not my usual colours, and find there are too many ‘white’ spaces on this card, but less is more sometimes right?

Have made good use of punches in this card and ofcourse the nestabilities..  the paper is from Fancy Pants

Yay.. at a Spoonfull of Sugar challenge blog they have a fabulous sketch this week by the lovely Katharina I adore this sketch hunnie.. and will use it again, that’s for sure!!

I’ve tried to do some crafting the last couple of days.. but there was always something else to do with the kiddies.. so was pleased to be able to finish this card so soon!

It’s my inlaws anniversary in August, so this will be send to them (they live in Spain) from the children on their special day.

For my card I have used:

• Sugar Nellie stamp from Funkykits
• Tim holtz distress inks with waterbrush for colouring.
• Design Papers, CS and Rub-ons are from TLC
• Prima flowers
• Catseye heart beads, tibetan spacer and wire (which I’ve curled) from my bead shop.

You can make your project anything but square! so a good excuse to get my round shapes out again

The middle layer of my card is larger than the outer layers, making it quite hard to stand this card up on its own.. but I like the weirdness of it!

Have finally tried out my new promarker pens.. it takes some getting used to, but I love ‘m.. just need to practise some more with them *Ü* .. and made good use of my dinky sewing machine and lots of distressing! I also made a pocket where the lace is so the tag can be taken in and out of there.

I was late with my card for Cute Card Thursday where the theme is Animals only, no people allowed

Then over at Penny Black Saturday challenge the theme is Snow Much Fun.. a christmas card with snow, so I was lucky enough to be able to combine these challenges, most of my PB stamps are animals

I’ve used snowflake ribbon and buttons, small PM sparkly brads for the snow falling and also some Aleene’s glitter snow on the hat of the cat.

Love, love this gorgeous Birdhouse stamp from Sugar Nellie!

The original idea was to use the lovely sketch provided by the Sarah Kay challenge.. which I thought was Camilla’s.. so sorry about the mix-up ;-) but when I coloured and cut this image I found it quite hard to be able to show off the sketch as this stamp really is LARGE, so I have stretched and rotated it a bit and  I will use this sketch again because it’s simply wonderful

The sentiment stamp is from a Hero Arts set.. papers are from BG and 29th Street Market, the felt flowers were in the Scrapagogo Card kit

Sorry the picture is not very good.. Raining and dull all day!.. There is also a new challenge up at Cute Card Thursday, I’ve not managed my card in time but hoping to make it when this busy last week of term is over.. again there is a lovely prize to be won so I hope you will be able to join in the fun this week!

You’ll have to excuse me tonight.. I’ve been an emotional wreck!!!

Cherise’s End of year Ball was such a succes and she had a whale of a time!

The head teacher said the class of ‘08 was a joy to teach and they also had their SATS results today, which were the highest of the school to date!.. How proud am I ?? Cherise has had extra tutoring in English and writing, and  she managed to get above average on both.. she really has worked hard!

My little girl (only just 11) looks so grown up now.. but she is looking forward to whatever the future might bring and with the new senior school starting in September.. she is feeling unstoppable!
