.. is the theme over at  Magnolia ~v~ Stampavie and a perfect excuse for me to make the huge paper bow on top of the present [it would be a bit too big to put on a card!]

At first I was just going to make the present with bow and tag, which is one of the new Magnolia stamps.. for this challenge.. but then I just couldn’t stop and made a matching card as well.

First up its the paper bow..

I seen a tutorial on SCS a while ago and kept putting it off as it looks a lengthy one.. but honestly it is a snip to do.. and took me no time at all!  The best thing about these bows is that they will look so different with every paper you use..  You can find the awesome tutorial here:

All materials I used for my present with tag and bow are noted at the bottom of this post..

Then for my card,..

Isn’t she just the cutest?? I love her!!

Another bow was placed on my card and stuck a couple of headpins [from haberdashery shop] in matching colours through the knot.. The inside and back have also been decorated to complete the whole matching set.

Card Recipe:

  • Stamps: Magnolia Tilda, Chair, Large Heart
  • Medium: Distress inks in Peeled Paint [inside heart, dress] China blue [sox, bow, top] Antique linnen [tag, hair, chair] Vintage Photo [accents] Tattered Rose [skin]
  • Paper: Dream Street Papers: Enchanted
  • Tools: Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle nesties, Flower punches, Martha Stewart twig punch
  • Ribbon, brads, bling dots, pins from stash.

Thanks ever so for this amazing challenge.. and thanks for looking!

Have a fabulous evening all.. I’m settling down to watch Dancing on Ice 🙂

Hugs, Marlene xx
