It’s been soooo long since my last post..
and it really has been a case of the longer I left it, the harder it was to pick up the blogging thread again..
but after thousands of kicks up the backside, [you know who you are!!]
encouraging emails and pep talks I should hopefully be back to normal real soon!!! lol
First things first..
a very happy belated New Year to you all..
I hope you’ve had a fabulous festive season!
As you know we were away for both Christmas & New Years,
living it up in sunny Dominican Republic and it was just fantastic!
I won’t bog my blog down with all 860 [!] photo’s,
but have uploaded a load on my facebook site where my friends can see them all 🙂
If you are nosey and want to see them just look me up on FB by my name 😉
The resort was amazing..
Food excellent and we were really spoilt for choice.
We’ve enjoyed lots of activities like Paragliding, Banana boat ride, Horse riding on the beach
and ofcourse sunbathing and having our cocktails at the swim-up bar!
The weather was awesome both weeks with the occasional tropical storm..
but in some ways that was a nice change as temperatures did hit 40C,
what a shock to the system it was to come back to all that snow and freezing temperatures!!
One good thing about the snow was that the kids had snowdays as soon as we came back
so they had all the time to recover from any Jetlag and wouldn’t suffer at school.
Then I had to catch up at work with a backlog and Laurelle’s 9th Birthday to organise..
Finally yesterday I managed to open my craftroom door and actually create…. all day!!!! Yay!
STAMPEEZEE MONTHLY KIT
I’ve had the gorgeous January kit to play with from STAMPEEZEE,
these kits are jam packed with coordinating craft supplies and perfect for scrapbooking/cardmaking.
Below are two cards I’ve made with the kit and I’ve also got 2 scrapcards to show..
but in fear of you all getting very bored with my long post I’ll show you them tomorrow.
This gatefold card features the cute Helz Cuppleditch doggie
[also from Stampeezee]
and looks like this when opening the organza bow:
She is coloured with Copics and Bryony sells a huge range of these pens in her online shop.
The sketch I have used for the Josephine card is from the
Creative Inspirations Challenge blog
I loved working with it.. thanks for sharing
I hope you are still with me by this point.. lol Like I said I will show some more tomorrow!
Next week my blog is celebrating it’s 2nd Blogoversary
and I also still have to celebrate all those hits that have surpassed the 515000 mark!!
Sooooo… there are going to be some surprises, give aways and major changes!!!
I will leave you all to ponder…….
Hugs, Marlene xxx
