Twisted easel card

Not made one of these twisted easels before,
but boy.. are they fun and easy to do

Today I have used ‘Hippy Chick
another fab Simply Sassy stamp by Sugar Nellie

She is coloured with Copic sketch markers,
touched up with shimmer paints,
shame you can’t see that very well on the photo.

PP are Basic Grey Porcelain and MME.
Used MS border punch and build up the flowers topped with buttons.
The bling swirls are from Prima.

Here is a side view of the fold,
I forgot to take a pic folded flat but
it just lifts up and drops ontop of the inside panel.

My card fits in with the following challenges:

* Colour Create – Lemon, Green and White
* Dutch Dare Challenges – Buttons

If you would like to try a fold like this..
You can find a great little tutorial here

Thanks so much for looking and any comments you might leave..

Hugs, Marlene x

Call me..

It’s been a long day..
and there is nothing better than playing around with
paper and pens to unwind for an hour or so!

It resulted in me making my card for the
Simply Sassy Facebook challenge,
where they would like to see a side step card.

I have used one of the new Sassy stamps,
Call me, she is just ‘dreamy’!

I cut her out leaving a small boarder and
made the card into a dresser like I seen on this baby card

As the challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday is
I’m entering it there as well.

Have a great and relaxing evening,

Hugs, Marlene x

White on White..

You don’t want to know how hard it was for me
not use any other colour but white on my card!
I’ve seen them about in blogland and
always thought how gorgeous & classy they looked.

So, here is my first WoW attempt.
Another first for me was the Stair Step fold that I seen on Pam’s lovely blog.
If you fancy a go, her post with the template is here.

The gorgeous buggies are digital stamps from Bugaboo,
I have used two of the wee cuties to make a scene

The challenge over at Fab n Funky is ‘digi delight’,
so I’ll enter my card over there..

There are two Challenges asking for WoW cards:

* DoubleDutch Challenges
* Flutterby Wednesday

I’ve really enjoyed challenging myself making this card,
and am sure I’ll use only white and this fold again and again!

Quick reminder of my Copic Candy:

You have until tomorrow evening to enter to
be in with a chance to win a whole set of Ciao Copic pens..
Plus 3 runner up hAnglar & StAnglar stamp prizes.

Click the picture at the top of my sidebar for all the details.

Teddybo challenge two

Back with a card to show you that I was going to show you earlier..
but got a call out so am behind once again!

I’m supposed to let you all know the winner of my Blog Candy with a Twist
and announce the new candy..
but I’m gonna leave you in suspence a little longer and do it tomorrow.

I just had to have a couple of more Teddybo digi’s
and when I seen that the challenge at the blog is ‘seeing double’,
I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

The sketch from Papertake Weekly fits perfect with my idea so I got started.

I wanted the main front panel image to ‘hide’ the inside image,
so that when it is opened, it would reveal teddybo number two!

I’ve flipped Teddybo for the inside and added a circle,
it makes a great space for my message.

Open the card fully, it looks like this:

As always, you can click the pictures to see a larger view.

Other challenges my card fits in to:

Teddybo Challenge: Seeing Double,
A Spoon Full of Sugar: Valentines,
My time to Craft: Embossing [tickets],
Everybody Art: Fav Things [copic colouring]

Papers I used are MME,
Nellie Snellen, MS border and Nesties for die cutting..
Tickets are heat embossed with white and used
Heart ‘love’ stamp from Daisy Designs for inner heart.

Thanks so much for looking,

Hugs, Marlene x

Somebuggy loves you!

Just a quick card to show you tonight..

I’ve been playing with some newly purchased digi’s and made a scene..
First time ever.. whoo, get me!!

The wee ladybug and snail are from Bugaboo
& the background is Forest Flower from Make it Crafty.

Printed out the sentiment, made with two different fonts,
Chalkboard and Giddyup.

The sketch was provided by the Friday Sketchers Challenge Blog.
Made the round card base with the grand nesties and Calibur.

Other Challenges my card fits into:

My time to Craft: Spots & Dots,
Fab n Funky: Animal Magic,
Totally Papercraft: Add a Heart [brad in flower],
Cute Card Thursday: Recipe 1,2,3

Thanks for looking!

Quick reminder.. don’t forget to enter my Blog Candy..
Click the pic at the top of the side bar for all the details

Fairy Miracles..

As promised I’m back to show you the finished card that was on my desk in the previous post.

The easel fold is still one of my favorite card shapes,
especially when like this card the sentiment would have made the front panel too cramped!

I’ve used the lovely Gwen from the Molly Harrison collection by
Lili of the Valley

She is coloured with Copic marker pens and touched up with shimmer H2O’s.
Here is a close up of Gwen,
hopefully you will be able to see the glimmer and sparkle better..

Isn’t she simply gorgeous?

The papers are MME ‘All Boy’,
used my new Nellie Snellen doily dies and
made a little dragonfly embellishment by stamping some wings,
cut them out, coloured & layered them,
finish it off by using pearl gems for the body.
Sentiment is from the LotV Inspirational set and can be found here.

My card also fits in with the following challenges:

Copic Creations: Anything New – NS Die,
Flutterby Wednesday: Open Theme,
Spoonfull of Sugar: Blue & Green,
Papertake Weekly: Ribbons & Pearls

I’ll leave you with a quick reminder of my Distressed Love Blog Candy
It is open until tomorrow evening.
You can find all the details in THIS POST

Have a great evening all,

Teddy Bea..

Whilst ‘hopping’ last week at my buddy Kathy‘s blog,
I found out about some new teddy digi stamps..
If you like teddies as much as I do..
You will fall in love with these cuties straight away!

Really got the ‘feel’ of digital stamps at the moment,
it sure took me long enough!!
But I love the fact that you get your ‘stamps’ instantaneous,
print any size and they take no space up in my already over-full stamp cabinet!

My card for today features Teddy Bea,
think she is Teddy Bo‘s sister [or girlfriend!]

*** EDA: Girlfriend.. Thanks Fairy-D 🙂 ***

Bo & Bea even have their own challenge blog which has just started!
Plus I just read on their blog that there are more designs coming our way..
Look out for them on Tuesday 18th of Jan!

My card fits the following challenges:

Teddy Bo: First challenge, Anything goes!,
Sketch Saturday: Provided the lovely sketch,
Allsorts Challenge: Teal blue & Brown combo,
Secret Crafter: With Love

I’ll be back later this evening with the winner of the hAnglar candy..
And also to reveal my Blog Candy with a Twist part II
