Little Fairy..

Wow.. every year it just amazes me how time flies in December!!

Didn’t mean not to blog for over a week..
but I’ve got my excuses!
My mum, sister and her kids came over to visit for a long weekend last week,
it was just lovely to catch up!
Then lots of school stuff for the kids to sort,
went to see Laurelle’s play today.. it was soo good!
I’ve also got our suitcases out in all the bedrooms..
as this time next week we’ll be on our way to raggae away in Jamaica!!

I am hoping to have some cards to show you as I haven’t just sat idle on my behind..
and will spread them out over the coming weeks.

***

My card for today is a sneeky preview of one of the new
Lili of the Valley fairies that are going to be available in January..
There will be 20 new stamps in total,
each and every one of them adorable as can be!

This cutie is called ‘Fairy Birthday’..
but I think she could easily be a little Christmas fairy too!
She is coloured with copic sketch markers,
Face: E000, E00, E11, R20.
Blues: BG10, BG11, BG72, W3.
Browns: E41, E42, E43, E44, E25, E29, E35, E72.

The sketch I’ve used is a gorgeous one by Dena for the LotV challenge blog,
I have flipped the sketch so it would fit the image better.

My card also fits in the  Flutterby Wednesday challenge [open]
and Cute Card Thursday where the theme is Floral Frenzy!

Thanks so much for looking and have a lovely evening!

Hugs, Marlene x

Flower Cheer..

Wow.. Monday already, doesn’t time fly?!

Just seen the news on the weather and sincerely hope nobody I know
is stuck in all that snow up North!
Kinda makes me feel bad about wishing for the white stuff a couple of days ago!

The concert we went to on Saturday night was fab,
the acts were all amazing,
there was a great buffet available and free alcohol!!
.. so I had to use all of Sunday to recuperate!!
.. not gonna touch a drop till Christmas now.. lol

The only downer was that my camera was confiscated for the night
as I had put my tele-lens on it for those close up pics.
I was gutted that I couldn’t take any pictures and the ones from my mobie are crap!
Thank god my friend took a small one with her so
I’ll just have to wait until she sorts through hers to grab some so I can show you here.

On to my card for today.

When I went to look for the new sketch over at
the Sweet Stop
I was thrilled to find out that my ‘Simply Sassy’ card from last week was chosen to be in the spotlight.. Yay!
Mind you, I loved that sketch and this weeks is another beauty!

The gorgeous image I’ve used is a new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamp
called ‘Flower Cheer

At the moment,
Elaine at Quixotic Paperie has a fabulous celebration offer on any SCACD sets,
you can read all about it HERE An offer too good to miss!

The papers are from SU! and as I’ve used both Spotty and Stripey papers,
my card will fit in nicely with the Daring Cardmakers challenge for this week too!

Finished my card with some lush velvet ribbon, sooo nice to the touch!!

Then lastly.. for all you Alice fans..

Have you seen these fabulous new Leanne Ellis for Sugar Nellie stamps???

The plate with all 6 of these cuties is the prize you can win if you join in with us at
the Sugar Bowl [you got until this Wednesday evening!]
Couldn’t show you a picture before as they are that new!
They are also now available to buy at Funky Kits.

Have a great evening all,

.. It’s Friday!!

Yay! The weekend is nearly here but brrrrr, isn’t it cold out there?..
I’m wrapped up in so many layers, I look like the Michelin Man!
Just wish it would snow, the only good part of having cold weather!

On to my card, yep another Xmas one..
At this rate I’ll be ahead of myself for the first time ever!!

The little cutie is from WoJ,
she is partly coloured and I have paper pieced the tree.

It will fit in the following three challenges:

WoJ – Tara’s gorgeous sketch,
Crafty Creations – Christmas,
CCT – Blast from the past [mine is wk 105, Dimentions]

Thanks for looking and have a fabulous Weekend!

Another Christmas card..

Evening all,

Don’t know about you guys..
but I love the feeling of being ‘on top’ of things..
not being rushing around or deadlines to meet..
It really is just the best way to get my creative juices flowing!

Today I have another Christmas card to show you.
The adorable image is called
‘Look out below’
that I got to play with from the lovely Elaine at Quixotic Paperie

She is part of a set of 4 but also available seperate.

I only realised after the image was coloured in and card was finished
that she is supposed to be at an angle, [hence the title of the stamp]..
but I think she looks just as cute as is!

The sketch I’ve used is the latest over at
DoubleDutch Challenges
Plus they would like to see a Christmas Card.

I’ll also enter this at
Creative inspirations [Red/Green/Gold]
and Crazy 4 Challenges [Circles]

Thanks for looking and have a great evening!

Four-in-One..

OMG.. Two posts on one day??
[I bet that’s what you’re thinking!]

Well, it’s about time I started on my Christmas cards for this year..
I’ve made plenty for mag submissions and samples,

but nothing yet for personal use, so here is numero Uno 🙂

***

I’ve used last years Cosmo Cricket papers teamed with brown cardstock
and played with some MS punches.
The gorgeous bear with cracker stamp is from Lili of the Vally
and the sentiment by SU!
Finishing touches with lots of gold Stickles and sticky gems.

***

Going through my challenge blog list,
I found out that the card fits in nicely with 4 challenges, no less!

1.   Sketch is provided by Cute Card Thursday
2.   Lili of the Valley’s Challenge is to have Glitter & Glitz
3.   PTW would like to see Autumn colours
4.   and a  Spoon full of Sugar has Distressing as their challenge

Woohoo, didn’t I do well?

Have a great evening all,

Good Cheer

Yay, another Christmas card crossed from my list!

Weather is horrid and I really don’t feel like doing anything but play with some papers, pens and an embellishment or two..
so when I’d seen the new sketch challenge from WoJ Challenge Blog  flying past this morning,
I just had to have a quick go..

For my card I’ve usecd the Christmas Magic papers from Fancy Pants
and coloured Uru with Candycane to match with my copics.

Love it when a card just falls together so quickly 🙂

Uru has been 3D’d onto the shield and the shield has been 3D’d onto the card base..
so it really is very dimentional..
still can’t get it to show better in my picture.

Right.. best stop playing and get to do some work! Lol

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs, Marlene x
