Tulle flowers

I’ve spend some time today making different flowers,
when I finished these fab Tulle ones,
I had to make a card with with them asap!

I’ve made Tulle flowers before,
but just cut circles and layered them like lollipop flowers in between layers of cardstock.
This time I used the ‘singed’ technique with a candle,
like the fab silk fabric flowers you see everywhere.

I used 2 colours of Tulle to get a more blended look.
[Cream and light Blue]
The inspiration comes from yet another video that you can see here.

Please click the pic above for a close up view.

For my card I made use of the latest Sketch Saturday sketch.
Papers are MME La Paperie stack,
Image is a stamp I got from a grab bag years ago.
Distressed all the layers with Antique Linnen and Vintage Photo inks.

Used Delish brads for the centres of the flowers,
MS border punch, Sticky pearls
and printed the sentiment with Nueva font.

Thanks so much for looking and any comment you might leave,

Hugs, Marlene x

Bunny Post

When I seen the new sketch by Debbie over at ASFOS I couldn’t help myself but follow it straight away.. it’s a beauty.. thanks for sharing 🙂

bunnypostsmI love this cute bunny stamp from Lili of the Valley and finally got around to inking him up!

If you click on the picture it will show you the full view.. you can then see how it sparkles as well..I think the light really hit it this afternoon.. lol

The papers are from the Cosmo Cricket ‘Jolly by Golly’ paper pad, they belong to one of my favorites at the moment!

The sentiment is a BoBunny Rub-on and the flower has been punched with a SU! flower punch.

Yess… another card crossed from my loooong list 😀

I hope to be back tomorrow as there is another SOL over at Tiets’s club, I’m thinking of doing another SOL on my blog very soon.. if you could let me know your thoughts on what day/time best suits I can get my thinking cap on 🙂

Have a wonderful evening all,

Hugs, Marlene x

Weekend update..

Please meet the Rissington Lodge crafty 10 😉

fltr: Jules, Toni, Jeannette, Sarah Jane, Me, Sarah B, Siobhan, Sonia, Niki and Sarah P

I’m so happy to have met all you lovely ladies.. You all made the weekend fabulous!!!

On the crafting front.. we made 9 cards on Saturday!!
I’ll tell you, I’ve never managed that many cards in one day!
We also made some 3d boxes and a basket, am so into 3d papercraft projects at the moment.. love it!

Above is the card I made for the Shoebox swap,
where I made the flower from the same Stampartic tutorial as before..

I’ve sprayed the flower with pearl glimmer mist but this can’t be seen on the picture…
and if you are going to try this technique out for yourself.. can I suggest some gloves.. 😆

Oh yes.. and incase you are very observant..
we are all in our PJ’s, nothing better than getting inky whilst comfy.. heehee

I promise to show all the other cards tomorrow or the next day.. I’ve got to take pictures of them yet!

We were lucky enough to have some pretty impressive cooks among us..
and I tell you.. we couldn’t go hungry if we tried!! LOL

Sarah P and Sarah Jane made the most delicious cakes [pumpkin and lemon]
then when Siobhan and Niki arrived they presented a huge box of the most yum, yum Cupcakes
[Jules’s big weakness!]

As you can tell.. my diet went out of tha window this weekend!

We arranged for a big bouquet to give to Jules.. as a special thank you for organising the weekend for her Jems..

I think it was the first time I’d seen Julie a little bit lost for words [ahh bless!]

as Jeannette, Sarah B and me.. are celebrating birthdays this month..
the other girls arranged a birthday cake [yep.. another cake!! lol]
and we got card and got ‘Happy Birthday’ sung to us!!!

So as you can see.. we’ve had a real good crafting time.. and like I said before, I hope to be back soon with more pictures of the other cards.

For now big hugs,

Purrfect Annie

Hello all 🙂

Finally had a chance to ink up one of the Charmed Delectable stamps I received beginning of last week.. aren’t they simply adorable?

My card fits in with three challenges this time:

COLOUR CREATE  where the colour combo is Blue/Green with the option of paper piecing.. which I didn’t do this time.
BASIC GREY challenge blog provided the fabby sketch, thought it was gonna be a tough one but was great to work with once I got started..
SECRET CRAFTER wants to see brads or eyelets on your projects and my flower is held together by a green brad.

Card Ingredients:

  • Stamps: Purrfect Annie & Kitty from Charmed Cards & Crafts, sentiment from SU!
  • Medium: Copic sketch markers
  • Paper: Basic Grey Wisteria
  • Tools: Fiskars border punch, Woodware leaf punch
  • Embellishments: Prima Hydrangea, BG Opaline half pearls, spacer and brad from stash.

and a inside view..

Thanks to CC, BG and SC for the inspiration 🙂

Have a great evening all,

Hugs, Marlene x

Penny Black

This card is made with one of my newish Penny Black stamps and I just adore it! *Ü*

Couldn’t wait to colour her in [copics] and think these imaginesce papers suit it perfectly.. added lots of liquid pearl dots, some buttons and flowers are from Prima marketing..

Postman has just brought some lovely mail.. but I’m not telling you what it is yet,  I hope to get cracking with it after I’ve been to work, which hopefully isn’t too long as I’ve got the kiddies home for half term break.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day all!!

Hugs, Marlene x

Early morning!

It doesn’t happen often.. but this morning came 4 o’clock I was wide awake [and that after a late-ish night] so there was nothing else for it but to get up and do some colouring!!

I then made a big mistake by falling asleep again at 6.. so now I’m all grumpy and sluggish! never mind hey!

Again coloured one of my new hAnglar stamps and here is what else I used:

  • Sentiment stamp by Stampin’ Up!
  • Distress ink: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint, Antique Linnen, Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain
  • Black journaling pen for handwritten message
  • DP is Basic Grey ‘Fruitcake’
  • Oval Nestabilities and CB
  • Fiskars treading water punch
  • PM bling dots
  • SU! ribbon
  • Handmade pin

Have a nice day,

Marlene xx
